Daily American Press is produced by an editorial team covering national news, government, the economy and American culture. Contributors research and write; editors review and publish. We are a small operation and we work like one — everyone touches multiple parts of the process.

Our Domestic Focus

We are deliberately a U.S. outlet. Elections, public policy, economic conditions, social questions and cultural change at home are our subject. Global events enter our coverage when they land on Americans directly — trade, security, supply chains, diplomacy with consequences.

That focus is a choice about depth. We would rather cover the country closely than cover the world thinly.

How a Story Reaches You

Stories come to us from wire reports, public records, government announcements, regional reporting and reader tips. A contributor establishes what is documented and what is merely claimed, then drafts. An editor checks the piece against its sources, tightens the writing and confirms the framing matches the evidence before it goes live.

Explanatory pieces — how a federal rule is made, how a bill becomes law, how a deficit works — are built the same way, with more time for research.

Separating News From Commentary

This distinction is central to how we operate. Reported pieces carry sourcing and stay out of advocacy. Opinion is labelled, sectioned separately, and takes a stated position. We think readers are entitled to know which one they’re reading before they read it, not after.
