FBI Director Kash Patel revealed the discovery of a secret room at FBI headquarters containing burn bags filled with sensitive documents from the Russiagate investigation—a room that did not appear on official building blueprints and required special access to enter.

Secret Chamber Hidden From Official Records

Patel disclosed the finding during his Tuesday appearance on a podcast, explaining that multiple burn bags were located in a locked room within FBI headquarters. A burn bag is a large paper receptacle used to destroy classified information through shredding and burning. The documents were never destroyed, and the room itself was completely absent from the bureau’s architectural blueprints. Nobody had clearance to access the space when it was first discovered, raising questions about who created it and why it remained hidden from official records.

Documents Reveal Investigation Details

Former FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino previously discussed finding what he called the mother lode of documents regarding Crossfire Hurricane, the FBI probe into alleged collusion between President Donald Trump and Russia. Bongino suggested someone deliberately preserved the documents for discovery.
