An Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation attorney faces termination after a viral video showed her urging Americans to refuse cooperation with immigration enforcement and make federal agents’ lives miserable, triggering an investigation and demands for her resignation from the state attorney general.
Video Captures Anti-Enforcement Rant
Shannon Desherow, assistant general counsel for Oklahoma’s State Bureau of Investigation, posted the inflammatory video to TikTok before setting her account to private. The footage, reshared by Libs of TikTok, showed Desherow using profanity-laced language to attack Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents and their constitutional authority. She told viewers that ICE has no jurisdiction over American citizens and encouraged widespread resistance to federal immigration enforcement operations.

She made multiple posts right after the ass*ssination of Charlie Kirk, mocking him, blaming Charlie for his own m*rder, and attacking conservatives.

Desherow, who earned her law degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2020, claimed that ICE administrative warrants fail Fourth Amendment standards. She argued these warrants do not grant agents authority to enter homes, vehicles, or arrest American citizens. The attorney called on fellow citizens to adopt a confrontational approach toward federal immigration officers attempting to perform their duties.
State and Federal Officials Respond
Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond’s office issued a sharp rebuke, stating Desherow does not represent Oklahoma values. His official statement declared that anyone in state law enforcement who opposes cooperation with federal partners should resign immediately. Drummond emphasized that Homeland Security, FBI, DEA, and ICE serve as critical allies in combating organized crime, calling attacks on these agencies threats to public safety.
The Department of Homeland Security reminded the public that obstructing law enforcement constitutes a federal felony. A DHS spokesperson noted that ICE officers have experienced a nearly 1,000 percent increase in assaults while arresting dangerous criminals including murderers, rapists, and gang members. The agency stressed that constitutional measures protect both the rule of law and officer safety.
Investigation Underway
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation confirmed awareness of the video and launched an internal review. Desherow’s employment status remains uncertain as the investigation proceeds. The case highlights growing tensions between some legal professionals and federal immigration enforcement, particularly regarding the scope of ICE authority over American citizens. Desherow has not responded to media requests for comment on the controversy surrounding her statements.
